Jessica's Visit - Seoul Edition

Jessica came to visit me for almost 2 weeks. It was so exhausting but so much fun! I was so excited to show her my world and introduce her to everyone in my life here. Everything is more fun with the baby sister around.

While I was at work one day, John babysat her and took Jess out to Sinsa Garosu-Gil for some shopping and snacks.

Jessica was invited to my school as a guest teacher for one day. She got to teach my grade 4s with me, eat lunch in my cafeteria and hang out with me in my office. I love that she met all my students and  coworkers. They were all so kind to her. They bought her patbingsu, bread, and pizza! My students were so curious about her. They asked her so many questions including "Why are you different colour from Claudia teacher?"

Then of course we did the usuals in Seoul - Myungdong, barbecue, shopping, clubs, bars, restaurants, etc. etc.  The picture in the middle with the three of us girls on the red mats is taken in a multi-bang, a room just full of video game consoles, movies, and karaoke. We were playing mario kart and smash brothers! Yesssss!

One of my favourite days with Jess was when we did the Nakseongdae hike. It was my first time on this hike as well. It was so much fun climbing the mountain and exploring the bunkers with Jessica. We both love climbing and running around outside so it was a perfect day for us. The view was beautiful as always, but this might have been one of my favourite hikes. There were lots of rocks and ropes to climb  and a minimal amount of stairs. Perfect!

We also visited the virtual store at seolleung station. There are rows upon rows of pictures on the walls of the subway station. It looks just like a real grocery store. You simply have to scan the barcode under the item you wish to buy with your cell phone, and it will be sent straight to your door at whatever time you wish. Brilliant and so convenient!

Our last night was spent at gangnam at a cute little cafe. Miss you little one!

Jess also went on a short trip with me, cat and john to Tongyeong and HanSanDo. Pictures and blog coming soon!:)
